Girls Just Want to Have Fun

I am sure when most people hear that we have three daughters, they imagine a house full of dress up, tea parties, Barbies, baby dolls and all sorts of girly things. And, they would be very correct.  Life with three daughters is full of all of those things and so beautifully fun.  Ours days look a lot like......

Dress up and pretend play.....

Sometimes a more "boy" activity like going fishing enters the scene, but still with all the little girl flare....

Lots of taking care of baby dolls.....

And little girls do love a good tea party.....

These are the sweetest days.  Cheers to all the fun of little girls!!

Lots of Love

I think Valentine's Day is so much fun and this year we had even more love to celebrate since we have another daughter to love.

The Valentine's fun started early when Kyla was assigned to make a "Bottle Beastie" to take to school to collect her valentine's in.  We decided to make a pig out of our bottle.

And, of course, we got our valentine's all ready.....

My favorite valentine moment came the day before Valentine's Day.  A normal Thursday afternoon.  We had just finished Kyla's homework, it was almost time for Tessa to eat, was working on getting some dinner ready before Kyla needed to go to gymnastics and our doorbell rang.  I peeked out really quickly and saw the side of a box.  In my head I was thinking it was probably a kid selling something that I was probably going to say no to.  But, to my complete joy I opened the door to see this.  Our sweet man standing there with valentine flowers for each of us.  I almost cried.  I wasn't surprised because he loves us so well, but to feel that kind of love in the middle of a hectic late Thursday afternoon was just what my heart needed. Valentine's Day is so fun like that.

Tessa taking in her first Valentine's flower....

On the morning of Valentine's Day it was fun to surprise the girls with heart shaped pancakes.  How can you not love a day that starts with pancakes in a special shape?

The snow was falling throughout the day, which made my snow loving heart happy.

And inside the love celebration continued before Troy and I were able to go out for dinner just the two of us......

So thankful for the love God has given us and the love we get to share in our home everyday.

Tessa Kate at 6 months

It is hard to believe that we are already at the half year mark......six months with this baby of ours, Tessa Kate.  And because we have been through this two times already, I know how fast this goes.  I am savoring every second of these baby days and am so thankful for Tessa.  She is such a sweet baby and we are all falling more in love with her everyday.  Here is what she is up to at six months.....

Playing and discovering some new toys - loves the Baby Einstein play mat.....

And was just introduced to the Jenny Jump Up......

And she loves standing up and reaching for things in the exersaucer

She has been enjoying rice cereal for a couple of months.....

But was just introduced to other baby foods, including carrots....

She loves sitting up against the Boppy and playing with toys (including this little singing puppy, who all of our girls have loved)

The big milestone of 6 months, is sitting all on her own.....

And she likes playing on her tummy.....

And is starting to look at books....

She loves splashing at bath time.......

She thinks it is great being with her sisters.....

Observing Kyla at play.....

And watching both of her big sisters passionately singing songs from "Frozen".....

Days with a baby in the house are such sweet days and we are cherishing all the six month moments.
